01. Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Each treatment will vary depending on the clients focus for the day, though will usually begin with a check-in conversation over a cup of herbal tea followed by any of the following offerings:

  • Gentle shiatsu style massage to signal to the body that it’s entering a therapeutic state

  • Cupping or Gua Sha

  • Acupuncture

  • Moxibustion

  • Application of herbal liniments

Throughout the session we might discuss ongoing treatment strategies including:

  • Dietary therapy

  • Chinese herbal medicine prescription

  • Nutritional supplements

  • Therapeutic or corrective physical exercises

  • Written or visual recommended further education resources

  • Nervous system regulation, relaxation or meditation techniques

  • Suggested treatment frequency

    Herbal Medicine prescriptions, when applicable will incur an additional charge of roughly $25-$35 for 1 week.

  • Treatment packages are for those looking to work with Nina on a more ongoing basis. Perhaps someone with a particular health goal or a chronic condition that requires more frequent or ongoing treatment. These packages are paid upfront and your sessions can be booked in advance so that you can plan your other commitments accordingly knowing you have sessions locked in with Nina.

02. Herbal Consult Only

Herbal medicine consults are for existing patients only. These shorter sessions are offered as a check-in point to assess existing herbal medicine prescriptions and make adjustments where needed.

A herbal consult involves a short conversation over a cup of herbal tea followed by palpation of the pulse and tongue assessment. Nina will then prescribe a formula that you’ll take home on the day or have sent to your home from our online dispensary.

03. Cupping

Cupping involves the application of glass or silicone cups along various channels on the body to reestablish the smooth flow of Qi and Blood. It is a complete modality in it’s own right which helps to soften tissue and facia layers, reducing muscle tension. Cupping is also a wonderfully effective treatment choice during the early stages of a cold and other viruses when applied along the appropriate channels.

A cupping treatment will involve a short shiatsu style massage followed by the application of both sliding and stationary cups. Please allow 30 minutes for this treatment.

04. Paediatric

Paediatric consultations are for those aged 0 -16 years. Being a mother herself, Nina understands and has lived experience in treating children of all ages with Chinese Herbal Medicine and ancillary techniques. Nina is passionate about educating parents and carers on how to read the early signs of illness in their little ones and how to act accordingly for the best chance at resolving common illness quickly and without medication.

While emergency situations always call for prompt advice and treatment from your family GP or local hospital, Nina believes that many common childhood health concerns can be effectively and swiftly treated using Chinese Medicine. Conditions that present to the clinic include:

  • Common colds and early stage virus intervention

  • Ear infections

  • Digestive complaints such as low appetite and irregular bowel motions

  • Low energy

  • Mental health presentations such as Anxiety or Depression

  • Neurodiverse presentations such as ADHD & Autism

Overall, infants, children and young adults respond very well to treatment. These sessions are much shorter in duration and rarely involve Acupuncture.

A typical treatment will involve a short conversation followed by palpation of the childs pulse and looking at their tongue. On occasions the application of silicone cups along the back may be required. Most often a take home herbal medicine formula is required which fast tracks the healing process. Nina has many little tricks that will help your little (or big) one take their herbs and get back to their adventurous, vibrant selves as quickly as possible.
